Where to go in Paris with your rental car
Combine classic and lesser-known attractions for a vacation that is truly rich with all kinds of experiences!
First of all, the traditional Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, Louvre Museum, Galeries Lafayette and Notre-Dame Cathedral are all close to one another, approximately 30 km from the airport. If you want to get out of the centre of town, Versailles Castle is another not-to-be-missed site just 15 km from there.
To the East, you will find the Père Lachaise Cemetery, 3.5 km away. Be sure to take a fly-boat tour on the River Seine! The docks are located near the Eiffel Tower. A word of advice: go in the evening for a truly magnificent view.
From the Louvre, head to the Luxembourg Garden and stroll the 1.5 km from there to Mouffetard Street. Because you have a car, you can decide how you want to get there! For a well-deserved break, there is the quiet Montsouris Park. Nine kilometres away, lesser-known parks such as Buttes Chaumont and Butte Bergeyre also offer a moment of calm. On your way, you will also see the Museum of Natural History and the Jardin des plantes.
